The Tala Love menstrual underwear company was started after my daughter, aged 9, started her menstrual cycle. One day, while she was still in elementary school, her sanitary pads fell out of her bag due to an accident. In addition to being embarrassed, her peers teased her about it for almost two weeks.

When my daughter went through that trauma, I was motivated to find a better way for little girls to transition into womanhood without feeling ashamed; with a mission to provide menstrual underwear to them so that they can go through puberty and still be able to actively move and play like normal little girls. It's my prayer that our products give those who wear them the confidence to tackle any day and not let bleeding hold them back.

In Filipino, it means ‘star,’ representing empowerment and the light that shines within every woman. In Persian, ‘Tala’ means ‘gold,’ reflecting the value and quality we infuse into every product. And in Swahili, it means ‘lock,’ perfectly embodying the function of our leakproof and smell-proof products. Together, these meanings reflect the heart and purpose of Tala Love Co.”
